This team is stacked at receiver, pass rush, and fullback, of all things. The offense would run out of a base I-formation offense, with Nance at the RB and Neal at the FB. Sproles would come in as the passing down back. The offense would spend a lot of time in 3 and 4 wide formations as well, using any combination of the receivers (again, stacked), and let Sonny sling it around. On the oline, Kuechenberg would slide outside and take the RT spot over Runyan; even though he is undersized, I think he’s a better choice over Runyan.
The defense would run a base 4-3. Walker at the Sam, Carson at the Mike, and Jackson at the Will. The front 4 would be rotational because of the depth. Samuel and Barnes hold down the outside, with Byrd coming in as the nickel. Logan handles the SS, with Robertson at the FS.
Sproles would handle the punt and kick returner roles. Marty Schottenheimer takes the head coaching duties, being a 4th round pick of the Colts in ’65.
I call this team the Philadelphia Fours.
