This is definitely the weakest of all the rounds, especially the offense, however it is stacked in the return game. And while it is the weakest of all the rounds, it is impressive that 2 of the 3 members of the Legion of Boom are on this list.
We reach way back to 1946 for the starting QB in Bob Waterfield. The offense would run out of a base Ace Wing formation, with Centers at the H back. Walker takes the primary back duties, with Centers, Haynes, and Mitchell all sharing passing down duties in the backfield. The o-line is hugely undersized and the weakest part of the offense (outside of probably the greatest center to play the game in Webster).
The defense is stacked in the secondary and solid at linebacker. The d would run out of a base 4-3 under, but play a lot of cover 1 out of nickel and dime packages. The linebackers would stack up with Greene at the on-the-line Sam, and Thomas and Low at the Mike and Will. LeBeau and Sherman get the start at corner, with Norman and Hayes seeing a lot of time on the field as well.
The Human Joystick, Hall takes the return duties, but Mitchell would be back deep on kickoffs as well. There are no coaches with more than 50 wins, nor active, that were drafted in the fifth round, so I went with Mike McCarthy, who is fifth among active coaches in wins.
I call this team the Jacksonville Day-Threes
