Great starting offense although undersized at guard and tackle. The offense would run out of a single back, three wide formation. It starts with the GOAT at QB. Davis would take the primary back duties, with Anderson in on goal line and short yardage. Mathis lines up at the Z and Brown at the X with Gray in the slot. Walker would see some time at TE in passing situations.
The defense would run out of a base 3-4. The Al’s on the inside, Paup at the Sam, and Lloyd at the Will. Thomas would be brought in as an additional rusher in passing situations. Riley and Harris at the corners with Griffin at the nickel. Christiansen takes the SS and Saimes the FS.
Bates would take the kick returning duties and Christiansen would take the punt returning. Gary Kubiak would be the head coach after being the 197th pick by the Broncos in 1983.
I call this team the Des Moines Likely-Cuts
